After hours the guard locks the compound, walks the perimeter fence looking for cut panels, checks the amenities block and fuel store, and does a plant count against the previous shift's log. Overnight a mobile patrol takes over with three scheduled sweeps.
Each project gets a site instruction manual with the PCBU details, the site supervisor's mobile, the exclusion list, the subcontractor companies expected that week, the high-value equipment that lives in the compound and where the fuel and gas bottles are stored. The guard initials it before first shift and the supervisor updates it every Monday with the week's contractor schedule.
A daily access log goes to the site manager by 7am showing every movement through the gate with times. Any incident, attempted theft, damage, injury or neighbour complaint, gets its own report with photos within two hours. Monthly summaries cover attempted access breaches and any discrepancies in the plant count so head contractors can see the trend.
