Who we are
Alpha Security and Management (ABN 12 657 826 858) is a NSW-licensed security company based at 3 Parramatta Square, Parramatta NSW 2150. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What information we collect
- Contact details supplied through our quote and contact forms (name, company, email, phone, site address)
- CCTV footage captured at client sites under a written service agreement
- Guard employment records, including licence numbers and verification data
- Incident reports generated during the course of our services
- Basic website analytics to understand which pages are used
How we use it
- Delivering the security services you have engaged us for
- Preparing quotes and contracts
- Reporting incidents and providing records to authorised client representatives
- Meeting legal obligations, including tax, WHS and Security Industry Act record-keeping
Who we share it with
- Nominated client representatives named in your service agreement
- NSW Police and other law enforcement where required by law or where safety is at risk
- Our insurer in the event of a claim
- Professional advisors (accountants, solicitors) under confidentiality
Data security
Digital records are encrypted at rest and access-controlled by role. Hard copies are stored in a locked office at our Parramatta premises. CCTV footage is stored on dedicated NVRs or in cloud storage with multi-factor authenticated access.
How long we keep it
- Client records and invoices: 7 years, as required under Australian tax law
- CCTV footage: 30 days by default, unless your service agreement specifies otherwise
- Incident reports: 7 years, or longer where a matter is active with police or insurers
- Employment records: 7 years after the end of employment
Your rights
You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or lodge a complaint if you believe we have mishandled your information. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
